Job Summary
Primary responsibility is to drive company vehicles to deliver merchandise to customer jobsites and physically unload the materials to the customer’s satisfaction with a truck-mounted forklift.
Responsibilities & Duties
- Learn company products, procedures, culture, and customer service philosophy.
- Safe loading, handling and transportation of materials and heavy cargo
- Delivering materials to the destination and unloading materials properly
- Provide customer with knowledgeable, courteous, and prompt service at all times
- Responsible for maintaining vehicle in safe operating condition
- Inspect the truck for any defects or problems which might arise before or after trips, such as tires, lights, brakes, gas, oil, and water
- Comply with all DOT regulations
- Work with customers to solve customer complaint
- Perform additional job duties as assigned
Qualifications & Requirements
- Ability to safely operate a Flatbed/Flatbed Dump Truck/Truck Mounted Forklift
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, and interpret standard unit tape measures
- Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence and memos in English
- Ability to effectively present information to customers, and other employees
- Sitting for a prolonged period
- Ability to stand/walk for 4-8 hours per day
- Ability to lift up to 50 – 80 pounds
- Ability to pull, push and grip and ability to stoop and climb 2 - 3 feet steps (into & out of cab)
- Current driver’s license, current automobile insurance and good driving record
