Responsibilities & Duties of Truss Designer • Work under local design manager, learning all aspects of engineering requirements for wood truss component products. • Greet customers as they visit our facility • Assist with answering calls and forwarding to appropriate individual • Compile complete design criteria and • Schedule in office designer visits and truss deliveries. • Organize, compile, and distribute production and delivery materials • Manage, update and generate daily design production schedule reports to aid the Sales teams • Create and distribute quotes, layouts and design submittals to secure customer approval • Work with professional engineers for truss design and repair details • Update and inform customers upon milestones related to their project • Perform flexible and consistent work across multiple programs and design methods • Learn and know the organization and products • Attendance at work during the regularly scheduled shift is an essential duty. This includes, but is not limited to the ability to be present at work, arrive on time and be at the work station ready for work at the start of the shift. • Other duties as assigned.
