Returns and Deliveries
Mead Lumber and Knecht Home Center make it easy to complete returns or exchanges, while also offering flexible delivery to our contractor and builder clients. Learn more about our policies below.
Retail/Project Delivery Charges
$20 if delivered within greater RC (30-mile radius).
$1 loaded mile thereafter, i.e. 40-mile delivery would be $30. The following additional stocking charges may apply.
- Drywall- $1.00 per sheet. Any level outside of the main level will be an additional $1.00 per sheet-includes lower level and/or 2nd Note- No additional charges beyond flat delivery charge if bulk stack delivered (dropped) on job-site at accessible site.
- Roofing- $ 1.00 per bundle delivered on the roof. Note- No additional charges beyond flat delivery charge if pallet delivered (dropped) on job-site at accessible site.
*Note- we reserve the right to not deliver any product on the roof, lower level and/or other areas if we determine it is not safe, and/or do not have the right resources or equipment. This also includes adverse weather or job site conditions. Sorry, we cannot stock shingles on any roof with a pitch greater than 6/12.
Our delivery system allows us to give you updates as to where your order is in our delivery process and schedule. Whether you need a scheduled delivery or a same day fill-in delivery, you can count on us to get it to your job site safely.

Return Policy Goals
We understand there are times when products need to be returned. We value you--our customer--and we want to offer the same great service with return pickups requests as we offer for delivery. We strive for same day pick up with a maximum pick up schedule of three business days.
All saleable, clean stock items will receive 100% credit with original receipt. Sorry. No Returns or Refunds on Special Order ordered items.
Return policy and procedure
Returns and Special Order Policy-
We will gladly accept returns or correct any quality problems on all merchandise purchased from our company within the past 90 days. Upon verification that the merchandise was purchased from our company, we will exchange it, return or repair the merchandise as long as the product is not defaced and is not without its original packaging.
All Special Order (non-stock) merchandise may be ordered for you with a minimum of 50% down at time of order, with the balance due prior to or on delivery of such goods and services. Returns of non-stock merchandise are subject to applicable return charges (if any) and terms as per specific supplier. Sorry. No Returns or Refunds on Special Order ordered items.
